    I’m thinking that given the considerable Internet “media” coverage that’s likely to occur from my first post (for specific reasons), and given that we want to look as professional as we can, I’d really prefer for it to be at http://www.ourdomain.com/blog.

    I guess I can always have my web host do a redirect to wordpress.com for now.

    Though the other advantage to http://www.ourdomain.com seems to be the ability for visitors to see the TLD in their address bar, which I presume would tend to be a clear invitation to check that out, too.

    I figured it out.

    It seems that when I created the two accounts yesterday, I must have inadvertently entered the Username and Password for the “first” site as also being the Username and Password for the “second” site.

    To resolve it, I went into the “second” sites’s admin page (logging in successfully by using the login info from the “first” site). I created a new User with the correct Username and Password and with Admin status, and then deleted the original user that incorrectly had the Username and Password that belongs to the “first” site.

    RESOLVED.

    Okay, now I’m totally confused.

    Now, saying “Lost password” in IE and giving it the Username for the “first” site again resulted in the system sending me an email with the Username for the “second” site. (I again did not click the link in the email.)

    Then, still in IE, logging in with the Username and Password for the “first” site again took me into the blog for the “second” site.

    I’m totally lost.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    To be clear, when the system sent me the emails when I did “Lost password”, I never clicked on the link to:

    So, I don’t know what’s going on.

    Maybe it has to do with my having said to Remember my login info? Maybe it doesn’t like doing that for two blogs on the same machine?

    Yeah, that resolved the most recent issue. I was previously using Mozilla. This time, I opened IE8 (XP) and was able to log into the “first” site/blog successfully again (this time I did not say to save the login info).

    But it still tells me the Username for the “second” site/blog is not recognized.

    HOLY COW!!!

    Now, when I enter the Username and Password for logging into to the “first” site/blog, it brings me into the “second” site/blog! Very weird indeed!

    Fifteen minutes ago, it brought me into the “first” site/blog like it’s supposed to!

    And I didn’t change anything when I hit Lost Password each time. Though maybe that’s triggering a change internally on the WordPress server anyway?

    Now what?

    The Username and Password for the “first” site are taking me into the blog for the “second” site, and the Username for the “second” site is being rejected as not recognized at all.
