I was/am having the same problem. Thank you Indell for posting what they sent you. That does indeed work. However, I do not want to display my top posts. I want to display recent posts.
Does this mean that I can only display recent posts if they are 24 hours or less? That seems odd, but I cannot seem to get it to work. When I select Recent, I get the “There is no media in this feed” message.
Any suggestions to display recent posts, even if they are past 24 hours?

Hello,
I was having the same problem (header/menu) not displaying on mobile. After reading the reply above I went into plugins and it turned out that the Jetpack Mobile Theme setting within Jetpack was the culprit. As soon as I turned it off, everything works like a charm.
