    It may be co-incidence but the one I installed recently (as in just before the error arose) was the sagenda one… The problem is I now can’t deactivate it as when the deactivation link.

    You’ve just solved it!! Thank you.. I copied the deactivate link address, amended to be http://…. and then deactivated the lug in which fixed it!! Any idea why it may have done it in the first place though? Why would a plugin have access to change the base URL?

    I don’t think it is down to the host as it is rendered in the HTML of the pages served by wordpress. For example if you go to the page http://www.bhcampervanhire.co.uk and view the source there is an entry in the head of the HTML: <base href=”https://www.bhcampervanhire.co.uk/”&gt; which is what I think is causing the problem…
