Thank you for reporting the issue! I tried to replicate this issue but it seemed to work correctly.
Are you using any caching plugins or similar? If so, please try to unactivate them temporarily and see if the problem is still there.
This issue has been now fixed in the latest version 1.0.10.

The product input is a search field so you will need to enter 2-3 first letters of the product before you can select it.
If it still doesn’t work, please enable WordPress debugging and see if there are any error messages related to this plugin in wp-content/debug.log file.

For DHL package you will need to use “Required products: Shoes”. This way it’s shown if there are shoes in the cart and possibly a gift card.

You can create two shipping classes, assign them to the products and then use Flat Rate to charge X amount for each shipping class in the order. In this case they would have a same shipping method though.
Having multiple shipping rates charged for one cart is not possible as far as I know.
