Same issue here.

In BuddyPress side everything is ok.
Facebook avatar is ok
Gravatar is ok
Custom uploaded avatar is ok
First letter avatar is ok.

But in WordPress side.
Facebook avatar is FAIL.
Gravatar is ok
Custom uploaded avatar is FAIL.
First letter avatar is ok.

We love this plugin. Great job. But we need to deactivate it until it’s fixed.
