In reply to: How to link one site to another with wordpress multisiteIs is this Nivana?
That should be easy: no need to edit any code at all.
Just go to Appearance => Menus, select the top bar menu, and add a custom link pointing to the other language site. So in main (Italian) site you’ll create a custom link to the EN site, and in the EN site you’ll create a custom link to the main (Italian) site.

In reply to: How to link one site to another with wordpress multisiteHow can I put a link inside the italian home page site to the english site?
You’ll need to edit your theme files to make this happen. Exactly which file(s) you edit will depend on where you want the link to appear and the layout of your theme files.

In reply to: log in problemThe owner can log in whith my username and password but I cannot,
What does “cannot login” mean here? What error message do you get when you try to login?
If there’s a firewall plugin installed on the site, that may be blocking you. But it’s impossible to tell without knowing the error message.

In reply to: Do you have to have MAMP to use WP on Mac?My dashboard looked different on screen than in someone’s tutorial,
That’s probably because the dashboard screenshot in the tutorial is from an older version of WordPress. The dashboard design has changed over the years.
Another possible reason might be the one of you is using a custom dashboard theme.
In either case, and as James said already, if you already have a working WordPress installation (ie you can view the site and you can login to the dashboard), you don’t need MAMP or any other software.
