Main FR sitemap : https://imgur.com/Bt5Bthj
ES language sitemap : https://imgur.com/Bt5Bthj
ES language sitemap posts list : https://imgur.com/0UdJLRi
Same for other languages : https://imgur.com/VFmIgK1
HI,
I did exactly that on the dev site. Then emptied all caches.
I still got the ghost pages:
https://developpement.wpengine.com/es/wp-sitemap-posts-post-1.xml
For now I had to uninstall the plugin from the our main site it was to severe for the indexing performance.
I’ll still investigate on the dev site, but it seems we have an incompatibility we cannot resolve at the moment.
The I tried to replicate the same process on the main website… it is not working.
I created a unique post in English, but the EN sitemap shows all posts :
Now let’s try to switch back to “Plugin” in the settings…
The slug changes back to https://developpement.wpengine.com/sitemap.xml.
Checking the ES version :
- https://developpement.wpengine.com/es/sitemap.xml everything seems alright
- And we have our only post in this sitemap : https://developpement.wpengine.com/es/sitemap-posttype-post.xml
- https://imgur.com/eRYBRjA
Same for the DE version :
- https://developpement.wpengine.com/en/sitemap-posttype-post.xml
However for the DE version, there is not posts and yet we have a new posts sitemap created :
After publishing the posts :
- https://developpement.wpengine.com/es/lo-que-esta-sucediendo/
We can see the post sitemap is displayed : https://imgur.com/uwPFHAt
And the list is accurate :
- https://developpement.wpengine.com/en/wp-sitemap-posts-post-1.xml
Here are the feed files after publishing : https://limewire.com/d/IL9RK#zepWqdLe3B
Testing creating posts in other languages…
I created draft posts in ES and EN.
The XML setting is set to WordPress.
All post type selected: https://imgur.com/EICGUKm
Interestingly, I have now no trace of post sitemap now within other languages…https://developpement.wpengine.com/es/wp-sitemap.xml
https://developpement.wpengine.com/en/wp-sitemap.xml
Here are the feed files: https://limewire.com/d/IL9RK#zepWqdLe3B
Hi Rolf,
First thing, trying to switching setting (I emulate in a staging version of the site)
First thing to notice is the url changes from /sitemap.xml to /wp-sitemap.xml
And I still have the ghost post pages indexed :
https://developpement.wpengine.com/es/wp-sitemap-posts-page-1.xml
