In reply to: [WP User Manager - User Profile Builder & Membership] asgaros forumsHi @jerrystampfer it maybe overkill for that – I would think you just need a smaller plugin to remove access to the wp-admin area
It looks like the installation process has got messed up somehow. If you haven’t configured much yet you can deactivate and delete the plugin and reinstall to see if that fixes things.
Thanks Paolo.

This has been fixed in WP User Manager 2.8.17 just released 🙌</img>
Just to clarify, when I said manually update I meant deactivate the plugin, then download the plugin zip from https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-user-manager/ and go to Plugins > Add New and choose the zip so it will install the latest version. Then reactivate.
Apologies for the issue, we are looking at this as a priority and will update you when we have a fix.
Sorry to hear you had an issue. The installation process should have created the form with the email address field on the form automatically. I’ll investigate that further.
But to get you fixed up, if you navigate to Users > Registration Forms > Then customize the default form, you should be able to drag the email address field from the right panel of fields to the left panel of the form.
Let me know how you get on.
Hi @mtgagents2021 can you try manually upgrading to 2.8.16 to see if this fixes it?
Hey @muratlo you need to turn on the ‘Custom Avatars’ setting in Users > Settings > Profiles, see https://wpusermanager.com/article/153-profiles-settings/
That’s the reset password form for users who aren’t logged in. If you are logged in, to change your password visit your Account and then click the ‘Password’ item in the menu. This will be typically at /account/password
It isn’t possible to register a user with the plugin via an API, although this should be possible with the WordPress REST API https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/rest-api/reference/users/#create-a-user
