But since it’s easy to reverse the hashs, this data neeeds to be protected. This problem is already known since 2013 as far as I know.Almost every website hosted in Germany, deactivated gravatar on their wordpress-installations. Actually the best solution would be to ask visitors if they want to use gravatar (opt-in) and only allow the email-adress to check with gravatar service afterwards.
Allthough I wouldn’t say it’s 100% safe as well.
So maybe just a recommendation: Maybe put a feature like Avatar Privacy in it.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Disable Gravatar PicturesAs far as I’m concernced: As soon you put your email in a blog comment, this email will be send to gravatar servers in the u.s. Doesn’t matter if the email is hashed or not.
The thing with the gdpr is, you’re not allowed to send any data to the u.s. without a proper dpa (data processing agreement).You’re simply not allowed to send peoples data to others.
Also people’s email which comment without using gravatar, will be checked if they have a profile picture on gravatar services.

I’m also wondering – but we need to follow the laws, the chance of paying fees is just to high 🙂
I guess he is the using Revolution SLider plugin.
Such a option would be great to ignore some images from optimization. Since optimize the pictures of slider images in the revolution slider breaks the slider layout completely and cause a big space inside of the image.I don’t really like jetpack, because its to overloaded with functions i don’t need / i’m already using.
thank you for your answer. Is it at least possible to allow spaces in custom fields? Or decoded url structures? Saw tel:+849383749473 is already working (like skype). Whatsapp could work too, but requiere spaces for the text.

I asked my theme-developer and he easyliy found the answer.The problem was caused by the plugin: Autoptimize.
If: “Optimize Javascript” and “Optimize CSS Files” are enabled, wpdiscuz doesn’t work.Seems this both plugins are not compatible together.

It seems this error is caused due some caching error.
If the user changes the visited site, wpdiscuz becomes visible.Hmmm.., maybe its caused by WP Super Cache

So it seems the problem caused by antispambee and not of Wpdiscuz.
The problem occurred after installing “wpdiscuz”, maybe I reacted too early.Also i changed the rating to 5 Stars (found the edit button), because you guys do a great job and plugin here and your clarifications explained the problem.

thank you for your fast response.
I didn’t decreased the rating because of missing features or because of features i wish to see.
A perfect plugin becomes a 5 stars rating, wpDiscuz is a good plugin and i think that 4 stars are a good Rating too.
The main reason was the integrated antispam Feature, that cause some problems for my use and results in false positives.
Also it was my first review on ww.wp.xz.cn. It seems there is no button to change this rating anymore. I wanted to watch the further development and change this rating later. So im sorry. 4,5 of 5 Stars.
