In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Error on updatingYesterday I updated the free version on a local multi-site install as an update was notified. I received a message that the install failed. Today, although the site is still working, the Events page used on one of my sites has disappeared completely and the plugin no longer shows at all in WordPress Plugins.
Is it safe to just re-install the plugin, will the database entries be preserved, and why has the request to update not been removed, given these problems?
Help would be much appreciated.

I am not sure if changing just the database entries will be sufficient, will I need to make any other changes in Network Admin or should making the DB changes allow me to log straight back into the primary domain after these changes without problem? No site IDs will change on the cloud based install.
Further to the above post I am also now getting this general notice at the top of each web page:
