    Thanks a lot for discussing this issue.
    To answer your questions:

    • yes, I use Delete Permanently
    • I don’t have a trash icon in the media library page.

      Thanks for the link, but I haven’t used it yet.
      Just tried adding a photo to the media library and deleting it.
      I don’t know what changed, but now the plugin worked as expected: first it added a few webp files to the wordpress download folder (2005/08), and then deleted them.

    Is it may be connected with adding some Server Modules & Resources that were disabled and which I enabled on my PC (to the php configuration in OSPanel)?

    Thanks for the clarification.
    But I see that after adding a jpg photo to the media library, the plugin adds several webv files to the same folder, which it uses to replace images on the site.
    As far as I understand, this is the correct operation of the plugin.
    The problem is that when i delete the original image from the media library, the added web files remain in the folder.It seems to me that they should also be deleted.
    Perhaps I misunderstand how the plugin works.
