In reply to: Visual editor missing 3.2.1Merci Beaucoup!!!
I’d seen some references to that setting, but had no idea where to find it. A little more searching directed me to the Users> page, and lo and behold, the “Disable” box WAS checked.
Now, I have no idea how that would have happened. Perhaps when the user performed the update to 3.2.1 it put that setting in as a default??? I’m 100% certain that this particular user NEVER went into those settings and made a change herself.
In any event, I can now move on to more worthwhile things in my life. Thank you Govpatel!

In reply to: Editing menu bar changed – help! Both the WP installs that I’m working with (my wife’s, and the new one I just made) are v3.2.1
Do you have a link for the plug-in you’re referring to?
thanks

In reply to: Editing menu bar changed – help!Followup: I just created a completely new test installation of WP, and find that the text editor (2011 theme) is indeed different in my wife’s installation – hers is displaying the HTML editor, not the Visual editor, and it doesn’t have any option to switch to Visual. Now what?

In reply to: Editing menu bar changed – help!I’ve tried the suggested solutions, without avail. It seems like the tnyMCE editor has gotten confused somehow, but I don’t see any place where I can upload it to my WordPress installation – it doesn’t seem to be a stand-alone plug in? There are a lot of auxiliary plug-ins that
- modify
tnyMCE.
I tried the 2011 theme, I tried replacing the wp-admin and wp-includes. I de-activated all the plug-ins. Nothing seems to affect the editing options. I’m a bit hampered here because this is my wife’s blog, and I’m trying to fix it for her. I’m relying on her description of the text options that existed last week, and I don’t have a clear picture of what has changed, besides those options.
Many thanks to anyone who can shed light on this.
