In reply to: [No Category Base (WPML)] Data Collection Opt-In QuestionsHi @thefitrv, and thanks for raising this! I apologize it’s taken us a while to get back to you – this fell between two chairs.
I can confirm that clicking the X or “Skip” in the opt-in flow results in no opt-in, and no data is shared. We’ll take this forward to make the messaging in the pop-up window more clear.

In reply to: [No Category Base (WPML)] NCBW plugin opens unknown popup in adminHi @adamderesz, and thanks for the feedback.
In the latest update which we just pushed, we’ve made the opt-in popup messaging clearer, so there is no doubt what it’s from. We collect data for diagnostics, and opting in is completely voluntary.
Thanks for using our plugins. I wish you a great day!

In reply to: [Username Changer] bogus data collection?Hi @nosilver4u,
Thanks for raising this — totally fair questions.
To clarify:
- TRS Plugins is the new entity behind the plugin (a joint venture between DigitalME and YMP), and we’re in the process of consolidating branding and infrastructure, which is why trsplugins.com currently looks quite bare. That will be updated shortly.
- The opt-in prompt was recently introduced as part of improving support and stability.
By default, only basic anonymous data is collected (such as WordPress version, plugin version, and site URL) to help us identify bugs and compatibility issues. - The optional fields (name/email) are completely voluntary and only used if you choose to provide them — for example, if you’d like us to follow up directly on an issue. We do not add users to any mailing lists without explicit consent.
- We understand the confusion around the wording (“anonymous” vs optional contact info), and we’ll be improving that messaging in the next update to make it clearer.
Appreciate you calling this out. Feedback like this helps us tighten things up 👍
