Does anyone know if this problem has been resolved. My blog is hosted by APlus and I am now hesitant to upgrade to WP 4.01. BTW, I experienced the above problem without upgrading to 4.01. The problem surfaced without me making any changes to my blog. It happened after a period of inactivity. The problem then disappeared on it’s own. But now I am afraid to upgrade because you all say it happened after you upgraded. That may have merely been a co-incidence. I had the problem and did not upgrade or make any changes to my blog whatsoever.

I may just call APlus and see if I can get a straight answer from them. Previously they gave me some double talk about WP being a third party application. (DER!)
