I still was not able to solve this. Could you perhaps share a code snippet that works?
I thought this worked, but it does not completely. I now get a list with all categories, but I only want the one that this particular event is posted in. How can I select this category only?

With some help of Cais and the reset tool I managed to get things working again. For anyone with the same problem:
– Get the reset plugin
– Reset all settings didn’t work with the newest version of NextGEN Gallery, so:
– Rollback to older version
– Reset all settings
– Upgrade to newest versionEverything works again 🙂 Thanks a lot Cais!
@cais I just sent a bug report. Hopefully this will sort it!
