After messing with this for most of the day, I finally gave up and uninstalled.
I found this extension that worked the first time without any issues, in case anyone else has this same problem: https://github.com/robertstaddon/buddypress-woocommerce

It’s a conflict with Jetpack- Jetpacks appid creates the conflict. Haven’t figured out how to use my app ID at the same time… Disabling jetpack fixes it, hardly a solution
