I found the reason why uploaded media didn’t show up in the inserter:
WPML (WordPress Multilingual Plugin).
FIX:
1. go to Media-“any image”.
2. scroll until you find: “Make ‘Media’ translatable”.
3 Enable, save, then disable and save.
This should rewrite the database option, fixing the bug.
Hope this can help someone in the future!
If anyone has got a solution to insert image into post/page from a structure, I will gladly pay them 10 fast bucks.
