In reply to: [Atomic Blocks] Open links in new window (AB Post and Page Grid)Okay, my bad, I found that I edited the wrong .php file. For others struggling with the same problem: the file you need to edit is /wp-content/plugins/atomic-blocks/src/blocks/block-post-grid/index.php. Add target=”_blank” after “a href=”%1$s” in the block-post-grid-image (line 87), block-post-grid-title (line 118) and grid-more-link ab-text-link (line 204).
That fixes it and the links open in a new window.I have deactivated all plugins, except CF7, Download Monitor and EBD of course, but the problem persists. Rather than going through the hassle of deleting and recreating everything in the twentysixteen theme, I have first put the question forward to Elegant Themes. Perhaps they have dealt with this issue before.
Well, I’ve tried all the suggestions with parentheses, etc. I have also set the theme to the standard twentysixteen theme, but all to no avail. I then installed the plugins on another site I manage and EBD works like a charm there. So the conclusion must be that there is some interference between EBD and the Extra Theme (or the underlying Divi Build-up) by Elegant Themes. I will contact ET to see if they have a solution. I’ll update this threat if I find an answer.
Thanks for all your help! Thanks for your thorough inspection and clear explanation. I greatly appreciate the time and information you are giving me. I’ll try the suggestions, although my test page does not use the ET layout, but the standard WP layout. I will test EBD on another site I manage, which does not use Elegant Themes. If it is an ET issue, it’s off to the good folks at Elegent Themes to see if they can figure it out.
Thanks again, I will update this threat with the resolution, if one is found.Hi dtynan, thanks for looking at this. The CF7 shortcode is [contact-form-7 id=”11456″ title=”download”]
I did try the EBD shortcode exclusively first, with the same result (404 error). I only added the separate, single shortcodes for DM and Cf7 to show they do work independently.
