Hi,
we have checked the issue you described on several different computers and haven’t been able to get the problem you described. We suggest you to delete existing and create new slider with 3 slides (should be done quickly since there are no layers and extra elements), could be some browser glitch when you were creating your initial slider,

i have checked latest version of our Transition Slider with Astra theme and Beaver Builder and everything works fine here. Saving, changing background etc. works fine and that needs to be done in Transition Slider admin area, and has nothing to do with page builder of theme you’re using. Please check documentation on how to use Slider, and if any further help needed let us know,
