You’re right @bcworkz. Actually, in a closer look, the theme displays several literal hardcoded in english. According to the documentation, it’s possible to translate it using wpml plugin (I’m guessing if I just translate months literals, dates should work fine), anyways, setting english language for the whole site works for me by now.

It seems a theme issue indeed. Apparently it expects the dates in a specific format (you’re right, I needed to change it in the general settings) and the language needed to be set to english (otherwise the theme seems unable to correctly parse de month)

the dates are actually stored with the right value (as I can see when I edit the posts info). I’m guessing it might be a theme issue with our date format.
