Analytics Process Fails due to PHP

    Hello,

    I’m having issues downloading the data from the Analytics tab. When I click on the button, nothing happens and checking in the WooCommerce>Status>Scheduled Action showed failed processes, could someone that understands this give me a hint?

    Whenever I want to look at the Orders tab in Analytics it always shows an error loading the info, not sure if that has anything to do with this but I had to click on different tabs before finally being able to see all my orders.

    Hello,

    You’ll first want to do a full conflict test to determine if the issue is coming from a plugin/theme conflict. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Test to see if the issue has been resolved

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Hello thanks for the tips, I followed through and still having issues.

    Im not expert but it looks like its stuck at order 5699 which checking in my order list does not exist, so not sure if that is a clue.

    Your WooCommerce Admin plugin bundled with WooCommerce core is outdated since you haven’t updated yet WooCommerce. Make a backup first and then can you download and install the standalone version of WooCommerce Admin v.3.0.3 from this URL?

    Hi @zoonars,

    Thank you for updating WooCommerce.

    You may want to purge the cache from your W3 Total Cache plugin. Here’s an article that explains how to do it. Also, ask your host if they can help you temporarily disable your Must Use plugins that cannot be deactivated from the dashboard.

    If that doesn’t help, please share the following:

    • Fatal Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > Status > Logs (if available).
    • Developer Console: Right-click on the page or press F12 on the keyboard and select “Inspect” (this option will show up on most browsers). In the developer tools that will pop up you should see a “Console” tab. From there, please send us a screenshot of what’s being displayed when you hit the “Download” button. To take screenshots use a tool like https://snipboard.io/.

    Hello,

    I went ahead activated W3T Cache, emptied all caches then deactivated the plugin. I removed the 2 Must-Use plug-ins from my test site, so only the Storefront and WooCommerce are active.

    Refreshing the page, and clicking Download with Developer Window open viewing the Console tab, nothing new pops up. There is nothing to show.

    Hi @zoonars,

    Depending on the amount of data to download, Analytics will either show a popup to open/save the report or send an email notification to the administrator. Did you check if you received an email with the report in your inbox or spam folders?

    Can you confirm this behavior also happens when using another browser or testing in an incognito window in Chrome?

    Mirko,

    Chrome, Chrome Incognito and Mozilla produce the same result of no email being sent.

    When I need to download Order quantity that is 1pg or less the CSV gets downloaded, but when I try to download more than 1pg which prompts for an email to be sent I face the issue that I have described above.

    The errors in the Scheduled Actions Log indicate the process did not complete correctly or at all, and I havent gotten any emails. Am I the only one facing this or can you reproduce it on your end?

    Could you set up WP Mail logging to see if any email goes out after that action?

    Hello,

    Plug-in showed no trace of any emails sent after going through the procedure.

    So is this a known issue then?

    Just to be ultra specific about what Im doing,
    -In WordPress left Banner, be in Orders section
    -Click on Net Sales
    -Set Date Range to Last Year and Compare To Previous Period
    -For me, I have 6 pages of data that should be exported via email. When I filter to just a month or whatever gets it down to 1 pg and I click download, the CSV is downloaded and I can open it.

    Thank you for the detailed instructions to reproduce the issue.

    I’ve been following the same steps you shared and a report notification was sent out to the administrator email address. Here’s a screenshot from WP Mail Logging Log:

    Since the email was not sent on your site, this could indicate a plugin conflict blocking the send-by. To find out what is causing this, you can use the WP debug log to log errors on the server. If there are ‘fatal errors,’ this may be the problem.

    We’ll go from there.

    Here is what I’ve got from the debug.log after making the changes in wp_config. Seems like the same error thats displayed in the log. Again, all plug-ins are turned off except WooC and Storefront theme. What is the error telling us?

    Does the installation and activation of the standalone WooCommerce Admin plugin change anything?

    Have you already seen our Email troubleshooting guide and FAQ? It can be found here: https://woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/.

    If the above guide doesn’t help, it could be something related to your email account or something hosting/network related.

    1) Can you try using a different email address? Please try an email account from another provider.
    2) Contact your email hosting provider to see if anything has changed on the hosting side.

    You could ask your hosting provider if they are aware of any recent changes or network-related issues impacting email. Failing that, the email documentation I referenced above has instructions for setting up an SMTP provider to deliver emails instead. This can be more reliable in some cases.

    Mirko, I have tried all of the above and I still cant get it to work. One bug I noticed is that for some months when I try to view from the 1st date to the last there is an error loading the analytics, but if I load from the 2nd to the last of the month everything loads.

    Any idea?
