    Hello,
I used this plugin as the other ‘Mailchimp for WordPress’ wasn’t working.
However I seem to be having the same error, of the mailchimp API not communicating with WordPress.

I saw this link and followed the steps, the error still exists.
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/api-key-will-not-validate/

I generated a new key, even tried the plugin on a brand new basic website using the basic wordpress theme with no other plugins.
The API key does not get validated. The circle which shows up just keeps circling.

I would like to know how I could solve this. From what I’ve read on the Internet so far, it seems to be a PHP CURL error (that’s also what showed up when I tried the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin : cURL error 28). As I’m a beginner at WordPress, I do not know how to solve that either.

Could someone please tell me are there any other plugins that could work? Or any changes to be made in WordPress PHP files? And if it is a CURL error, how could I solve that?

    Thanks.

    Hello there,

If you are having the same issue with multiple plugins then it is not an issue related to our plugin or may be any other plugin.

This might be a hosting issue so I would advise contacting your hosting provider about it.

Also, if they are not able to solve it there have been some instances of things being wrong at MailChimp’s end so contacting them about this might help.

    Thanks.
