• Hey everyone,

For some reason I cannot access the dashboard of my site. When I enter my password the dashboard does not load. The screen simply remains white and is perpetually loading.

When I do manage to get through the dashboard only partially loads and moves ridiculously slow. Images take very long to be uploaded (if at all) and the various areas of the dashboard refuse to load.

I called GoDaddy and they said that everything works on their end. My site is loading slowly for me but other people have no problems accessing it. Also, other websites are loading quite quickly for me so I know it is not my internet connection.

I tried clearing my cookies and cache but even that didn’t help. What is the problem?

I would deeply appreciate a response because this is my business and every minute lost is a dollar lost.

Most likely it’s a plugin issue. Rename the plugins folder to plugins-old and see if you can get in.

I deleted 20 plugins and it is still moving slowly. I currently have 19 plugins on the site and I use all of them.

    What else can I do?

Turn them all off. All of them. See if that speeds it up. We’re trying to see which plugin is causing the slow down OR if it’s not a plugin at all. Only way to do that is if you turn it off.

    Hey,

Other people in the Caribbean region (I’m in Trinidad) are also having issues accessing my site as well as a other WordPress sites. Is it a WordPress issue? It seems that everybody who updated to 3.2.1 is having the same problem.

    Site url?

I’m in the UK and I can access your site without any problem whatsoever. So it would appear to be something to do with your local connection/network/ISP. Might be worth asking them if they’re having any connectivity issues.

I called my ISP and everything is working. I have no clue what the issue could be.

Well it’s not WordPress. It’s something specific to your physical location.

    Hey,

I deactivated all of the plugins and I’m still getting the same issue. I spoke to GoDaddy and my ISP and they both said that things are fine on their ends.

The people at GoDaddy can access my dashboard very easily but they are saying that the issue is more likely a plugin that is incompatible with WordPress 3.2.1. I think that they are correct because when I updated to WordPress 3.2 I experienced some glitches and things got even worse with 3.2.1.

However, now that all of my plugins have been disabled I am still getting the exact same problems. What do you think might be the issue?

I don’t think this is a GoDaddy issue. Despite what they say, all of the signs point to it being a local ISP issue.

What Esmi said. Try using a Tor Proxy to come in from another ISP.

So the time out issue is now occurring for people in other countries therefore it is not my ISP. GoDaddy assures me that the problem is not with their system and they suggest that I try WordPress Super Cache to fix the problem:

    Any other suggestions?

thelavalizard.com and thelavalizard.com/wp-admin load fine for me (USA). Esmi’s in the UK (I think).

Did you try a Tor proxy to see how it looks from another country?

This issue is affecting people in Scotland and Jamaica as well. Something is clearly wrong with WordPress because GoDaddy has assured me that the problem is not with their system.

I installed the WordPress Super Cache but the page is still moving slowly. This is my business & I have run out of options.

Could the problem be with 3.2.1? This problem started only this week when I upgraded to that version. I really appreciate all of your suggestions but I am truly becoming frustrated.
