Unlikely as thousands of people are using 3.2.1 on GoDaddy and, as we said, WE are not seeing the issue so it’s probably NOT WP. If it was WP, everyone, everywhere, would see that issue.
There’s a reason I keep asking if you’ve tried a TOR to look at your site, with your own two eyes, and see how fast/slow it is from another location. If GoDaddy is saying it’s fine, check your site speed via their admin control panels. See for yourself.
Right now, you have your own evidence (it’s slow for you) and anecdotal evidence (it’s slow for some people, not for others). You need to do more legwork to find out exactly when and where it’s slow. Review server logs, look at stats. Study the ‘top’ feature on your site.
When I check the site via tor-proxy.net I can access most part of the site but certain areas do not load such as Dynamic Content Gallery on the dashboard. I am currently backing up my site on GoDaddy and considering doing a roll back to WP 3.2. This issue only started happening when I went to 3.2.1.
Any suggestions?
The part of the site that load on tor-proxy.net are moving very quickly but if I try to access it in my normal browser it does not move as fast. What could be the reason for that?
Either you installed caching tools incorrectly, GoDaddy is having issues (which we don’t know, since to the best of my information, you’ve not studied your server logs), or your local ISP is hosed.
Those are the most likely reasons.
I spoke to GoDaddy again and they indicated that since I can access the site using the Tor Proxy then the problem probably stems from the direction that I am using to get to the site. Also, since these issues only arose when I updated to WP 3.2.1, the problem may also be with the version of WP.
I will check my caching tools again to ensure that everything is in place. Any other advice?
Interesting point:
When I access the site using Tor Proxy I can see a range of different options when adding a new post that I could not see before on a basic browser such as editing Custom Fields, Excerpt, Discussion, Author and others. Normally, that information is not there.
Do you think that the reason for that has to do with how my theme is installed? Also, do you think that it might be related to the issues I’m experiencing now?
Could changing my IP address resolve this issue?
You know what … ask GoDaddy if your IP is being blocked.
GoDaddy says that my IP is not being blocked & my ISP say that my IP is dynamic. Both of them suggest that I do a roll back to the previous version of WP.
At this stage I see it as my only option because nothing else seems to be working. Thoughts?
You can try it, but nothing in WP should have caused that.
Hi,
I am here using slow internet connection. I use WP 3.2.1 on my blog. It seems that my blog run slower than before. Promotion Slider plugin and redirect page are not working correctly accessing from here. Sometime the admin dashboard menu doesn’t expandable.
But when I access my blog from another computer and higher internet connection, it works fine, but yes it slower prior to update.
So, I try to downgrade to WP 3.1.2, and it works perfect accessing from slow connection. But uhhh…. my site hacked. So I had to use wordpress 3.2.1
I guess it is a WordPress 3.2.1 issue. I wait for the update to fix this issue…
Sorry for my English.
