Can’t update rules

    Here is an error in update log:

    Error: Unable to connect to the remote server (cURL error 7: Failed to connect to updates.nintechnet.com port 443: Connection timed out)

    I already try to use define('NFW_DONT_USE_SSL', 1); from this topic but it doesn’t help.

    Plugin version from overview page: 3.5 ~ Security rules: 2017-05-17.2

    Does this error occur often or just once?

    As indicated in the CURL error message, your server wasn’t able to connect to the remote server. It could be a temporary connectivity issue or, if it occurs each time you attempt to download the rules, your hosting plan may have some restrictions that block the outbound connection.

    I installed this plugin 2 days ago and this error happen every time when plugin try to update rules (both manual and scheduled).

    I will contact my host provider and ask them about outbound connection.

    It’s my hosting problem! They fixed it and everything work fine now.
