I hope you’re well today and thank you for opening separate ticket.
Three seems to be an issue somehow related to plugin that our Forminator Team is already investigating though we are having hard times replicating it consistently. But one of the things we’ve already identified (this is happening only on certain setups/envirnoments) is related to form selection.
If you go to “Forminator -> Submissions” page and try to export the form you must see the “Export” button there but if you take a look at the left, there are two drop-down select there – first one to select whether it should be form, quiz or poll and the second one to select specific form/quiz/poll. So when you’re trying to export/set scheduled export – is the form selected there or is it showing as “empty” selection?
Even if it’s showing correct form selected – what happens if you select different form, click on “show submissions”, then select correct form again and click on “Show submissions” and then try to export/set scheduled?
Is it still giving the same error (broken export file/invalid form type) or does it start to work?
Also – where are you hosting your site? Is it AWS (or in other way AWS/S3 based host) or somewhere else? If somewhere else – what host and plan?

Following your instructions, my ‘form type’ selector was indeed empty.
The second dropdown, with my form name, was selected correctly.
The moment I select ‘form’ from the first dropdown, the export works correctly.
This website is hosted with Afrihost in South Africa. However, we have other clients at the same host, also using Forminator, who do not have this problem. Different servers though, so perhaps setup on the box?

Sorry to hear you are having this issue, can you try the same steps?
In case the problem persists, kindly create a new ticket and we can take a closer look.
@maraleen The developers are still investigating it, but I believe it is caused by some issues o the update which lost the pre-selected Form option, it is random, so not all websites getting the same situation.
I hope we can improve it soon
