Error adding new row (AJAX error)

    Hi there, having a random issue recently where I can no longer add in a new row to any of the tables. If I export to JSON, manually add, then import back in it works.
    When trying to add a new row using the ‘Add # row(s)’ button (or the ‘insert’ button), a new row is added but no row number is added to the left.

    Oddly, adding or inserting columns work just fine, it’s only rows that show up with a blank number next to them, and the saving error as shown below:

    Saving failed: AJAX call successful, internal saving process failed. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.
These errors were encountered:
ajax_save_table_prepare [1];
table_prepare_size_check_numbers_dont_match

    Has anyone encountered this issue before, or know how to problem solve it?

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    In the cases where I have seen an error like that recently, the problem was caused by the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin being installed (see e.g. https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/recording-failure/). Could you please check if that’s the case on your site as well?

    Hi Tobias,

    Thank you for the assistance – by chance we did indeed have that plugin installed (but not active).

    I re-enabled it, messed with some settings, then deactivated/deleted it.

    That’s done the job, and it’s working again 🙂
