Error trying to add new users

    Hi
    I got an error trying to add a new user on my WPMU installation. I thought it was the Members plugin creating the error when updating to wp 6.8 but I narrowed it down to ASE. Please read the tread on that here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/error-with-wp-6-8/

    Can you please check if this is something you can reproduce and maybe get a update to it?

    @jahrl thank you for reporting this. It appears that this is related to ASE’s Utilities >> Multiple User Roles module. If you disable that module, the role section in the user profile creation / edit screen should revert to the dropdown again. Please test if that solves the user creation issue you.

    Yes that fixed the error and I can add a new user. Does this mean that I can’t add users with more then one role anymore?

    @jahrl once you create tthe new user and re-enable the Multiple User Roles module, are you able to assign additional role(s) when you edit the new user’s profile?

    Yes, that works… But I really don’t like to deactivate and then activate the plugin again.

    At least that works. The thing is, I’m unable to replicate the issue you see. With Multiple User Roles module enabled, I’m able to create a new Subscriber user just fine. You’re also the only user who have reported this issue so far… so, in about two years ish. Additionally, the error you saw was related to a WP core file, not an ASE file. So, it’s not possible to ‘fix’ something that can not be replicated.
