    Hello,

I installed and trained successfully the bot on a website, some time ago. But now when I’m trying to add new thing to the knowledgebase, I always get an error: Failed to generate embedding: models/gemini-embedding-exp-03-07 is not found for API version v1beta, or is not supported for embedContent. Call ListModels to see the list of available models and their supported methods.

I can’t figure out what’s going on. When checking my AI studio API usage, I can see the requests are being made to gemini-embedding-1.0.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you!

    hi @adrianjecan,

Thanks for bringing this up. Yes, Gemini depreciated the embedding model and moved it to a “stable” version. I already have this fixed and in the pipeline. An update will be released in a few hours to fix this. I’ll update you here when its been released!

    thanks,

    Maxwell

    Hi @adrianjecan,

Apologies again for the issue. Version 3.0.5 was just released which includes updating the Gemini embedding model from the experimental version they originally had to the stable version they currently support. If you had the old model selected, once updating it should automatically switch, but double check and ensure you are now using the “stable” gemini embedding model.

    Thanks again,

    Maxwell

I’m just looping in here since I’m also experiencing the same issue. I just updated the plugin, but it’s only on 3.0.4 version. I didn’t see the the 3.0.5 version. This is just the option on my end for the Gemini embedding model. Please help.

    Hey @starpage5054,

3.0.5 was just released maybe 10 minutes ago. You can go in wordpress admin top left click dashboard-> Updates and then click the “check again” button to try and force it to show the new update. Otherwise it will show up shortly for you or if you download from the wordpress directory page it will already have the most recent version and you just upload again.

Gemini must have just fully depreciated the old embedding model which is why the issue is arising.

It worked! Thank you so much. 🙂
