Of course, as you said I would, I’m getting double posts again. Weird.
Maybe when the next update comes out it will fix whatever problem I’m having.

nope, I’ve done everything I know to stop double posting…as you can see in the forum, this does not happen with most people and I don’t get double posting on any of my servers…so my conclusion is that this is a problem that exists on the user’s servers (like, they are slow and don’t make connections to the database as necessary). That’s the best i can do, and the way I do it is exactly the same as the other plugins that handle RSS feeds.

Hey Allen, sorry to bother you again.
I’m still having a big problem with double posts, and it’s pretty much every feed I have that it’s happening to and it never did this before, something has definitely changed.
I tried switching the php file again and as soon as I do that all posts stop coming through, then as soon as I switch it back I get a big rush of all these posts I missed while the other file was in place.
Is it possible I’m doing something wrong or that there’s something wrong with the file I’m replacing the usual one with?
If not, can you suggest a good plugin to use for stopping the double/tripple/quad posts?

go into google, search for double posts, wordpress and you’ll find lots of plugins that handle this….this is a constant problem for wordpress.
Hey Allen, I just thought I’d let you know that I’d been using the file you provided in this post to see if it would stop duplicates and this is what’s been happening.
Everything will be fine for a few hours and then for some reason every single feed I pull in will start sending doubles for about an hour or so and then it stops as fast as it starts.
Some of the double posts come in at the same time and then one will usually grab the same post at the ten minute interval that it’s being fetched at for a maximum of 4 times and then stop.
It always does it the same way and it’s never the same feeds that are the issue. And the feed that ends up fetching the same post 4 times in a row never seems to exceed 4.
It’s almost like the posts stop registering or wordpress doesn’t really know that they’re there for that time frame as my feed burner doesn’t see the posts either until it stops doing the duplicate thing.
Anyways, I know you’ve tried everything but I thought I’d just let you know what’s going on so you have some info.

When I can’t reproduce the problem (and don’t hear from other people that they have the same problem), I can only assume it’s another plugin on your server that might be interfering. Did you try deactivating other plugins and see if the problem remains?
Hi Allen, I wanted to let you know that I took things a step further and deleted any plugins that I’m not using as just deactivating them didn’t seem to do anything, and it seems to have done the trick.
Every once in awhile I get a double post but the severe issues I was having before have stopped. I don’t have to monitor the posts as much anymore and it’s been working great!
