How to Export All Plugin Settings (Including Custom CSS)

Good Day,

Questions:

1. If we deactivate and delete your plugin, are all of our settings (including custom css code) saved in our database for future use?

2. If answer to 1. is no, then how can we export all of our settings (including custom css code) for future use.

At this time, we have a need to delete your plugin (for alternate testing purposes), but plan to reinstall it later.

If you just deactivate it (but not uninstall it) the data won’t be lost.

In any case, you can backup the option in the Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Tools admin page.

If we perform a back-up using the plug-in’s tool, are all the settings and the custom CSS code saved, or, only portions of your plugin data?

Your documentation is not quite clear.

The wpDiscuz settings including the CSS codes in the “Custom CSS code” textarea will be backuped.

Again, thanks for the quick reply.

We’ll back up your plugin then delete it (temporarily) for testing purposes. If all goes well, we’ll close this topic as “Resolved.”

Hi @gvectorssupport,

We tested the export/import tools of your plugin. They did not work well.

Everything was imported, except we lost our Article Rating, Post “Article Rating” custom text or title, and all votes.

Can you look into this and fix it?

@generosus,
It clearly says that the tool is for options. I don’t see why are you trying to export ratings or other commend data using this option. wpDiscuz doesn’t have article rating and votes exporting tool.
