incompatible plugins and theme?
-
I am using the AMP plugin and it lists the Neve theme as being incompatible (even though its listed as an AMP compatible theme). How do I fix this/why is it doing this?
The AMP plugin also lists multiple plugins as having compatibility issues including Woocommerce, Complianz (my cookie plugin), bluehost webbuilder, etc. The AMP plugin suggests suppressing incompatible plugins. I’m still fairly new to this and familiarizing myself with the jargon and how to best run my shop to be mobile-friendly. Am I correct that I DON’T want to suppress the woocommerce plugin (otherwise how will I sell my products online as I need the shopping cart, etc that woocommerce provides)? Is it enough to run the AMP plugin in “transitional” template mode?
Since I’m still learning, I humbly ask that if any coding is required that you take me step by step how to do it. Thanks in advanceThe page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello @firstfestivefooties
I am using the AMP plugin and it lists the Neve theme as being incompatible (even though its listed as an AMP compatible theme). How do I fix this/why is it doing this?
Thank you for the support topic, Neve is fully AMP compatible however we are not sure about their premium version, you can contact Neve support for the same.
The AMP plugin also lists multiple plugins as having compatibility issues including Woocommerce, Complianz (my cookie plugin), bluehost webbuilder, etc. The AMP plugin suggests suppressing incompatible plugins.
WooCommerce :
WooCommerce is not yet fully compatible, but it can be configured to work at a basic level.1) I will suggest disabling AMP on cart and checkout pages

2) Update cart behavior settings to redirect on adding a product in cart and disabling Ajax add to cart check on from Archive.

Additionally, I will suggest using the AMP Enhancer plugin (use the link provided it has fix included for Woocommerce), it can help you in addressing some Incompatibilities in WoCommerce.
Other Plugins:
1) Contact the plugin author ask them to make their plugin AMP compatible
2) Choose Alternative plugin which provide similar feature from our ecosystem pageI will recommend going through our getting started guide or following the video series on youtube to understand how you can use AMP plugin to it’s maximum benefit.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the feedback. I am using the regular/free Neve theme (not premium). Any ideas why it is being listed as incompatible?
I have done your suggestions for Woocommerce. Thank you.
Two of the other plugins listed as having compatibility issues on my website are Jetpack and Jetpack boost (both of which are listed on your linked ecosystem page). Any ideas how to fix/address this?

As we checked your site we didn’t see any error for neve theme, The validation error might be byproduct of other AMP compatible plugins or issue with over budget CSS
To confirm you can use health and trouble shooting plugin to find culprit
To narrow down further, could you use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely since it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.
– Please enable the AMP plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
– Activate Neve theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
– perform site scan and check if still see errors with neve theme, if yes, please report that error to Neve Support forum.
– Enable plugins one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
– Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.Hope this helps!
Persistent object caching is not enabledAMP
The AMP plugin performs at its best when persistent object cache is enabled. Persistent object caching is used to more effectively store image dimensions and parsed CSS using a caching backend rather than using the options table in the database.During the test, we found the following object caching services may be available on your server: Redis, Memcached (links go to Add Plugins screen). Please check with your host for what persistent caching services are available.

———————–Transient caching of parsed stylesheets is disabledAMP
On sites which have highly variable CSS and are not using a persistent object cache, the transient caching of parsed stylesheets may be automatically disabled in order to prevent a site from filling up its wp_options table with too many transients. Examples of highly variable CSS include dynamically-generated style rules with selectors referring to user IDs or elements being given randomized background colors. There are two filters which may be used to configure the CSS transient monitoring: amp_css_transient_monitoring_threshold and amp_css_transient_monitoring_sampling_range. If you have identified and eliminated the cause of the variable CSS, please re-enable transient caching to reduce the amount of CSS processing required to generate AMP pages.
Re-enable transient caching

@milindmore22 Thank you.
I installed the suggested health plugin and ran the troubleshooting mode, following your suggested steps.
-AMP activated first and re-ran the site scan = no issues found
-Activated Neve theme and re-ran AMP site scan= no issues found
Added each of the following plugins, then ran AMP site scan with the indicated findings:
-Jetpack = incompatibility issues indicated
-Jetpack Boost= incompatibility issues indicated
-Bluehost = no issues
-Bluehost Website builder = incompatibility issues indicated
-Woocommerce = incompatibility issues indicated
etcTurn out the Complianz Cookie plugin was responsible for the Neve theme having compatibility issues. I will try to look for a new one that is both AMP friendly and compliant to the California standards (CCPA). My follow-up questions are:
1) Why are Jetpack and Jetpack Boost showing as incompatible when they are listed in wordpress as being AMP compatible?
2) Woocommerce is still showing as incompatible (and now when I try to add an item to cart from my mobile, I get an error message so after following the above posted advice it seems like things got worse regarding the woocommerce section of my website). Any further suggestions short of un-installing the AMP plugin to get Woocommerce to work on mobile? Thanks in advance
