I am using the AMP plugin and it lists the Neve theme as being incompatible (even though its listed as an AMP compatible theme). How do I fix this/why is it doing this?
The AMP plugin also lists multiple plugins as having compatibility issues including Woocommerce, Complianz (my cookie plugin), bluehost webbuilder, etc. The AMP plugin suggests suppressing incompatible plugins. I’m still fairly new to this and familiarizing myself with the jargon and how to best run my shop to be mobile-friendly. Am I correct that I DON’T want to suppress the woocommerce plugin (otherwise how will I sell my products online as I need the shopping cart, etc that woocommerce provides)? Is it enough to run the AMP plugin in “transitional” template mode?
Since I’m still learning, I humbly ask that if any coding is required that you take me step by step how to do it. Thanks in advance

    Hello @firstfestivefooties

Thank you for Confirming issue with Complianz Cookie plugin, yes Please look for it’s AMP compatible alternative.

    1) Why are Jetpack and Jetpack Boost showing as incompatible when they are listed in wordpress as being AMP compatible?

Jetpack is fully AMP compatible (Not sure about WordPress.com version), it might another plugin or theme that might be generating false positives.

Jetpack Boost, only uses it’s features on non-AMP pages, as AMP already performs those optimiziations so not sure why it’s having validation issues.

    2) Woocommerce is still showing as incompatible (and now when I try to add an item to cart from my mobile, I get an error message so after following the above posted advice it seems like things got worse regarding the woocommerce section of my website). Any further suggestions short of un-installing the AMP plugin to get Woocommerce to work on mobile?

Yes, WooCommerce is incompatible and may required AMP framework adoption in WooCommerce plugin, this is something needs to be done at WooCommerce side

However you issue seems to be diffrent for adding product into cart, this more likely an issue with servers mod_security configuration as you can see the server response with 406 Not Acceptable response.

Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to add __amp_source_origin query parameter to allowed list, you can read about same in our documentation

    Hope this helps!

Complianz says it IS AMP compatible, so it looks like a lot of the “compatible” plugins are having issues for some reason when AMP does a scan… I even tried using a health check plugin to start things one at a time and the plugins (that are supposed to be compatible) all still showed as having issues.

When I tried expressing my concerns to Woocommerce, they directed me back to you (AMP).

I will try contacting my hosting provider for your other suggestion.

Otherwise I’m guessing I’m just better off deactivating AMP? Because I can’t uninstall Woocommerce, but I’m having issues between it and AMP, as well as issues (that seem like they shouldn’t be happening/are a lot of false positives) between AMP and other supposedly compatible plugins, and so far the suggestions haven’t fixed the issue but seem to have made it worse…

Sorry for your experience, but we are not able to determine the cause of validation error with complianz plugin.

Regarding WooCommerce or any other plugins we can not make their plugins AMP compatible, this is something (AMP framework) they need to adopt into their plugins.

eg: BigCommerce another e-commerce plugins similar to WooCommerce Adopted AMP.

I will suggest trying SandBoxing Mode of AMP plugin choose Loose Mode, It will allow all the invalidations on your site so your site can function properly.

Sandboxing Mode you can get your site to perform better with Page experience while keeping all the invalidations. Page Experience is a new ranking factor considered by google search console.

AMP plugin will seek opportunity to replace components that can be replaced with bento component (optimized component) to give you better Page Experience.

eg: On a Page if AMP plugin finds youtube embed it will replace the slow performing iframe embed with Optimizedbento-youtubecomponent.

Additionally please take note that complianz is not AMP compatible, Our support team checks plugin for compatibility and list compatible plugins on our website, complianz is not listed
