Are they manual excerpts? Because mine have also gone missing after upgrading to the latest version of WP and the plugin.
Automatic excerpts work, but not manual. This is in both slider and full list views.

@zenkitty Yes, they are manual excerpts. I didn´t try automatic excerpts because my testimonials is like posts, so I wrote manual excerpts to extract the main content.

I tried resave testimonial views, clear cache. Still no excerpts. :-/

Is it possible to delete the plugin and reinstall it?
If this still does not fix it, I recommend health check: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.
Go to its troubleshoot mode and activate only this plugin and see if the same issue happens with a default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty for example) and no other plugins.

reinstalling the plugin does not help with my issue.
