  • @john,

    The reason my site is slightly different, as I have explained before, is because by necessity, my testing MU site that I created specifically to investigate this issue for you is created in an existing subdomain. It makes no overall difference to the issue at hand.

    Now your are creating user accounts in the same way as me your users are being created in the database but are not being added to any blogs. Once they are added to a blog either by an admin or themselves via the Subscribe2 shortcode on a page or the widget in a sidebar they are added to the blog as a user and the settings for the Your Subscriptions page are created.

    That is in essence a summary of this entire thread. Please be patient and try thing out, be prepared to start over and make some form of record of what you are changing each time so you can stand a remote change of identifying issues more specifically and more quickly.

    OK, I think I got it.
    I’ve done fresh new tests and I see how it works.
    Problem is I have to use Mika’s plugin as it is the only one that allows sub-domains to have their own users.

    As you said previously, both, at current stage, can’t work together. I consider both plugins essentials and it’s a pity they don’t work together.
    Let’s hope someone finds a solution one day!
    It was an interesting exchange anyhow and I learned a lot.
    Many thanks for your time!

    @john,

    Well it was a bit of a marathon getting here but if you’ve learned something at least it was worth it in the end.
