Hi @adamdunnage – to be honest, I don’t have the capacity nor the patience to create a fresh WP install in order to solve this issue. I would prefer to go the route of uninstalling Google Site Kit, and using a different code-injection plugin to put the Analytics code in the header. However, if you do have any updates from your research, please let me know. I’ll make a call tomorrow.
@murielgravenor I am sorry to hear that but understand that you don’t have the time to commit to troubleshoot this further. One last thing you could try before making this decision would be to try manually inserting the Analytics code on your site. Once placed, Site Kit should see that Analytics code has been placed and you can then select that account/property from the Site Kit Analytics module settings.
We have seen this work for users in the past where the Site Kit placed code was being blocked so hopefully this is an option that works for you so that you can continue to use Site Kit on your site. You can check this guide if you’re unsure on how to add your Analytics code. You can also ask your host for assistance with this and they should also be able to help.
