  • Hi,

I checked the site using this chrome extension, and the performance is not the expected.

May I ask what is the Paypal plugin your site is using? To clarify, please share a copy of your site’s System Status Report, you can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”, thank you.

    We’re using Woocommerce PayPal Payments.

I’m trying to paste the status report in here but it won’t let me. When I paste into Notepad to test, it pastes fine, so it’s not my clipboard. Please let me know what to do from here.

    Hi @wildlife77

That is weird, as I was able to paste my site’s System Status Report here. You could use a service like https://pastebin.com/ to paste the System Status Report.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Thanks!

It won’t let me paste the log either. There is an error in the log relating to Contact Form 7. I’ve never used Pastebin before. I’m not sure what I need to do there.

When I had something small in my clipboard, it did let me paste that in here. So I’m guessing the log and the status report are too long.

I tried pasting in another browser and that didn’t work either. No idea why it wouldn’t work. Totally bizarre.

    Hello @wildlife77,

You can attach a screenshot of the error logs using Snipboard. As for the system status report, you can try GitHub gist.

Let us know how it goes!

It’s been a while since you responded, so I’m marking this as resolved – we’ll be here if/when you need us.

Sorry for taking awhile to respond. I’m being hit with whole slew of issues that are beyond my skill level to solve and feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. The inability to get you what you needed here just got me flustered and I focused on the tickets where I was making progress. I’m back to this one now and can continue with your suggestion above.

    Hi there @wildlife77

I’m being hit with whole slew of issues that are beyond my skill level to solve and feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment.

I understand how this feels. Don’t fret, we’re here for you.

While investigating various metrics, for the site at https://fyccn.org/, I was not able to identify the bottleneck you are reporting. Linked here is a screenshot showcasing the performance report, using the tool my colleague suggested earlier on. All the opportunities listed are related with the images used on the site.

Just to clarify, did any change to the PayPal scripts mentioned took place, meanwhile your last response was posted here?

Furthermore, the reported console errors are related to another plugin.

We look forward to your response.

I just want to add to this thread that I have similar issues with PayPal scripts loading on every page and sometimes it slows down the whole website. I understand that it is a third party script, but does it have to load on every page? You can check this on this website.

    Hi @martin1982

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you have a somewhat similar problem.

However, per forum best practices shown here, it is advised that you create a new thread so that we can address your issue(s) separately.

You can create a new thread here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/#new-topic-0

    Thanks for understanding!

Why create a separate thread for the same issue?

    (@wildlife77)

We have installed WP Rocket cache plugin and changed some settings with that which greatly improved site performance. That may be sufficient with this, but I’d still question why PayPal needs to have things running on our site on every page. We didn’t agree to participate with any analytics simply by wanting to use their payment gateway. Please advise on this, but the issue with it slowing down the site may be fixed now.

    Hello @wildlife77,

Glad to hear there’s some progress. The PayPal JS file will run on all pages if the Mini-Cart button is enabled.

You can find more information about this in the documentation.

    Hope this helps!

I have the same issue. I do not have the mini cart feature. The home page is a custom template with only html. See screen shot for page speed insight.
