This is similar to this post https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/how-to-disable-plugin-update-alert-emails/

I’d like to keep ‘Scan for out of date, abandoned, and vulnerable plugins, themes, and WordPress versions’ switched on but I don’t need to know the instant a plugin becomes out of date. This alert is issued even before auto updates have been allowed to execute. But I still want to keep this option on as it covers much more than just plugin updates.

Can we have an option to set a update required minimum period before the alert is sent? eg if a plugin is not updated within x hours/days of requiring an update?

It’s very annoying getting emails so regularly for this, seems overkill.

    Thanks!

    Hi @mackarias,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the option to set a minimum period before an alert is sent at the moment.

In Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences, you will see a checkbox labelled “Alert me with scan results of this severity or greater”. Updating this to High should do away with the alerts. They will still show up in scan results but you won’t get notifications.

Don’t forget to press the SAVE button once you’re done making the changes.

    Thanks,

    Janet
