Samara,
Version 1.0.9 came out today. Is that the version you’re using?

Hu Ruth, Yes I am using 1.0.9 and I am pretty certain this is when the problem began (upon this update).

Also, what’s odd is it works just fine if I take the category out of the shortcode, but when I add it back (the way it’s always worked – nothing changed) the list of events disappear.
Can you provide a link to your website?
Are you using one category or two?

Only one category. The link to the site would show it working, but it’s because I took the category out of the shortcode and it’s just showing all upcoming events.
Having same problem – have rolled back to previous version and it works.
I am having the same problem.
An example on the site can be seen at: http://earshot123.org/art-of-jazz/
These events have two categories, but I also had the same problem when I created a test even with only one category.
Will try rolling back to a previous version, since that is working for folks, but wanted to post an example.
Oops. Meant to add that all was working beautifully until the upgrade, so I am fairly certain that is the issue.
Is there somewhere I might easily acquire the previous version? I’m not eager to start digging through my backups. Anyone willing to share?
I’ll try to fix it or roll it back tonight
Can you try this?
Add an s to cat so it is cats plural when you want two categories and singular cat when only using one category.
This is working on my dev site
Two Categories
[ecs-list-events cats=’readings,webinars’]
Readings
[ecs-list-events cat=’readings’]
Webinars
[ecs-list-events cat=’webinars’]
Hi. I am wanting to show only one category at a time, though some of my events belong to several categories. I am using only “cat”, and it is not working, whether the events are flagged with one or several categories.
AndreaGabriel,
Can you give me the shortcode you’re using? I will try to replicate the problem you have.
Can you confirm what version of the plugin you are using?
Sure thing.
My shortcode is:
[ecs-list-events limit=’12’ thumb=’true’ cat=’art-of-jazz’ contentorder=’thumbnail,title, date’]
I’ve tried various orders, thinking maybe the order had something to do with it.
I’ve using this with Events Calendar Pro, because this is just easier.
I am using version 1.0.9, and the problem started as soon as I updated yesterday.
Really appreciate your looking into this!
Wondering if it’s something to do with hyphen in category name?
My Category names are also hyphenated so shortcode looks like this …
[ecs-list-events cat=’pcb-events’]
