    Hi,

    1) I can’t find how to fix the output when you share content. All the social networks are pulling the same thing. The title of post and site title are next to each other with no space.

For example, output when you “Share a link with your followers” on Twitter looks as follows:
New and Improved website launchedSite Title http://goo.gl/xxxx

New and Improved website launched is the post title, the site title appears next to it with no space between.

I thought I went through all the settings, but don’t see where to add that space or a character to separate the 2. Is this a plugin error or did I set something up incorrectly?

    2) I also see a message (in FB debugger) when I run a url, that fb:admin and fb:app_id hasn’t been set, is this bad? Would not having this cause other issues?

    Thanks for your continued help!

fb:admin allows access to Insight data — you should list your Facebook username. fb:app_id is the same, except it’s an Application ID that allows you to control user access.

You’ll have to provide a URL to a webpage and turn on Debug mode for me to help on the description issue.

    I turned on debug mode.

This is the post he tried sharing yesterday:

NGFB Open Graph+ has detected an SEO plugin, and so lets the SEO plugin determine the proper title formatting:

    gfbWebPage :: get_title : seo wp_title() = "  New and Improved @AWKWORDrap x #WorldView Website LaunchedAWKWORD [@AWKWORDrap]"

For some reason, your SEO plugin is not formatting the title correctly… Which SEO plugin are you using? Maybe I can code around it…

    Thanks,

I also notice this when I look at data in FB debugger tool:

    Meta Tag: <meta property="og:title" content="ProducersAWKWORD [@AWKWORDrap]" />

The result is that if you paste a url into a FB status it shows the page title as “ProducersAWKWORD..” when the page title is simply “Producers”.

is this caused by same issue?

Does your update fix this issue. The problem seems to be with the title, but I tested your update and it is still appearing the same.

Aside from this, I am having alot of issues with it ignoring the default image we set. Out of nowhere on the contact page its pulling the instagram logo (not being used anywhere on the site). I installed Ninja Forms, but I don’t think it is the reason because it had issues before. And in testing environment (after update) its says it will use the site header image.

I have the dimensions set to 200 x 200 cropped, and I have an image ID as well as the image url to same image. Can’t figure out why it’s ignoring.

SEO plugins do a couple of things, but mainly their job is to handle title and canonical URL values. I had expected AIOSEO to provide a complete title back, making the use of a “title separator” unnecessary. This is the case with WordPress SEO by Yoast for example, but I see now that the title separator is necessary for AIOSEO…

Instead of waiting until next week-end, I’ve released v6.7.4.1 now to address this specific issue. You may want to modify the title separator value in the Open Graph+ -> General -> Title and Description options.

    v6.7.4.1 addresses the title issue.

You can run URLs through the Facebook Debugger to see what Facebook sees: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

Have a look at the FAQ for additional information on some Facebook “quirks”. Their content caching techniques can be a little frustrating. 😉

I am running update now in test environment and reviewing your suggestions… frustrating is one word to use, I can think of several others 😉

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I really appreciate your prompt responses and attention!!!!!

The settings are being ignored. Despite the fact that it has | as the separator, I don’t see any separators anywhere.

And now its pulling the banner image instead of the one we set.

I assume the reason the titles are still being generated incorrectly after updating in test environment is because its ignoring the value set for separator in the settings ???

You may have to wait a few minutes for the object cache elements to expire.

If you’d like me to comment on any behavior, you’ll have to supply a URL as an example.

I see http://www.awkwordrap.com/blog/new-improved-awkword-world-view-website-launched is running v6.7.3. You’ll have to up date to v6.7.4.1 to fix the SEO title issue.

    Thanks,

FYI – There’s a “Clear Cache” button on the Open Graph+ settings pages you can use to refresh all the meta tag values on all the webpages all at once.

I am getting same results on live site as test site… I don’t even know where its getting that instagram image from.

I am going to do some plugin compatibility troubleshooting this evening and will post back if I find something with a particular plugin. Any ideas on a plugin that might not be playing well and blocking the settings from your plugin for default image and separator?

Do you think the pro version would fix this issue?
