Hello, after updating the plugin the shortcodes are no longer working. We use OptimizePress 3 as our page builder and before the update the shortcodes were working fine in our webforms.

Now, instead of showing the country name it shows this:

    “<span class=”user-ip-placeholder” data-type=”country”>”

I’ve cleared the cache a few times and also tried incognito mode on the browsers I tested it with.

The dev tools are not showing any javascript error

My wordpress version is 6.8.1 and I’m using php 8.3.23

Any idea of why this is happening?

    Thanks in advnace!

    Hi,

We have recently updated the plugin to work with WP-Rocket and other cache plugins. If you’re using any cache plugin, please let me know so I can test it! Also, if possible, could you please share the backup or login credentials for the website? I’d like to take a closer look.

Alternatively, you can try replacing the JS code inside assets/js/user-ip-location.js with this version: https://pastebin.com/HHii8Pf8. Let me know if it works!

    Hi Sunny,

We do not have any cache plugin in the website we updated the plugin. In others we do have w3 cache or jetpack but not in this one.

Regarding the credentials I can create a user for you but how would you like me to share it because posting that here seems a little bit unsecure.

The other js file you sent me didn’t work either

    Hi

You can share credentials or backups to [email protected].

I recommend granting admin permissions and taking a complete backup of the website.
