Hello. Currently, if you are using the WPBakery builder, I see in the knowledge base that the shortcodes generated by the builder are being imported, many [vc-row], [vc-column], and for all elements.

Even our theme, Woodmart, or other plugins, has added custom elements to WPBakery, so it generates shortcodes such as [woodmart….], [ez-toc…]

Could you add compatibility so that only the content or text is imported into the knowledge base, not this large number of shortcodes that are not relevant? The only relevant thing is the content.

    Thank you.

Hi, we used the “WordPress content”, but it think with “Sitemap” also happens.

    Thanks @ahumadomayte,

I was able to review and find a robust way of removing these. WordPress actually supports a great function specifically for this called strip_shortcodes() https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/reference/functions/strip_shortcodes/

Now when it grabs the content it runs it through the strips shortcodes function removing all of the tags, but none of the content. Same with the accordion update yo mentioned, if all goes well in testing, it will be released tomorrow or Friday.

    Hi @ahumadomayte,

This was released just now in 2.5.4. Please test and confirm it works for you and let me know. I do not personally have WPBaker, so I wasn’t able to test it specifically. I did test it with Elementor and it worked, and based on the developer docs it should work.

    Thank you,

    Maxwell

Hello, sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been able to answer before.

No, it hasn’t been fixed with WPBakery, at least. I don’t know about Elementor. And with plugins that insert shortcodes, it seems that it has been fixed.

So it remains to be fixed with WPBakery Visual Composer. I’ve sent you an email.

    Thank you.
