In reply to: [Open User Map] Override template files?Okay, this will be possible with the next update (1.3.50). Just add a new folder “open-user-map” to your theme and put the override templates in it.
Of course, it is important to note that updates to the original templates may cause compatibility issues when using custom overrides. New features may not be available or may not work properly.

In reply to: [Open User Map] Map not loading@bluelotus10 Now I can see that it works on your site. Can you please let me know how the Elementor module came to have a display: flex property? I’m curious if this problem can affect other Elementor users too.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Open User Map] Map not loadingHi @bluelotus10,
I’ve checked your site again and noticed that the map is already implemented but just not visible.
Solution:
This happens because you are applying additional styles from Elementor that conflict with the styles of the map. Please remove the additional styles, especially display: flex from this the module.Alternatively you can also just set a width (e.g. 100%) to the module (and keep the flex).

In reply to: [Open User Map] Map not loadingHi @bluelotus10,
This particular error message is mostly related to some Chrome browser extension issue and should not block Open User Map from running. Could you provide me with a link to a page where you are trying to show the map? You can also send a support request here if you don’t want to share your URL here in the forum.

In reply to: [Open User Map] Map not loading correctly due to WP RocketHi @webberende,
It is hard to debug this from the outside, but I assume the problem is related to the caching mechanism of WP Rocket. Have you tried to disable caching for the page with the map?
To exclude a page from caching in WP Rocket, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to WP Rocket in the sidebar menu and select Settings.
- Navigate to the Cache tab.
- Scroll down to find the Advanced Rules section.
- In the Never Cache URLs field, enter the URL of the page you want to exclude from caching. You can add multiple URLs here, one per line. Use patterns or wildcards (
*) if you want to exclude multiple similar URLs.- For example, adding
/example-page/will exclude that specific page, while/category/*would exclude all pages within that category.
- For example, adding
- Click Save Changes to apply the settings.
Alternatively, if you want to exclude a page directly from the page editor:
- Open the page you want to exclude from caching in the WordPress editor.
- In the WP Rocket box (usually in the sidebar or below the editor), check the option that says “Exclude this page from caching.”
- Save or update the page.
Does this help?

In reply to: [Open User Map] How to set a Specific Area that is only visible on the mapThat’s an easy one. Just go to Open User Map > Settings > Map Settings > Initial map view
There you can define the initial view of the map.

DanielHi @kasiadtoja,
Unfortunately this is not possible with OUM at the moment. However – this is already part of my feature requests list. It will become available with one of the the next updates.
Alternatively I would recommend you to use the Single Pages feature (Settings > Advanced > Public pages for locations). You could implement an before/after comparison and other useful details over there.

In reply to: [Open User Map] Locations from Memberpress custom field meta data?Hi @dinz,
This is not possible out of the box with Open User Map. However – you can extend the WordPress registration form with a map, so that new users can set a marker for their location. And you can customize the content of the location bubbles so that it shows custom fields from Memberpress.
To do this you will need a some skills with PHP.

In reply to: [Open User Map] Can the map handle 10,000 possible user registered pinsHi @elphhh,
OUM has no limit in managing large numbers of locations. However – your server may have its performance limitations so that it lead to longer page loading times when it comes two thousands of markers.
By the way, this forum is not meant to share your story. Please just use it for support requests. Thank you.
