In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & shutdown the websiteHmmm… so something is only happening when logged in. Are you able to send your site health information? You can find this under Tools > Site Health > Info > Copy site info to clipboard. This might give me a better picture of the install and find out what could be causing the issue.
Additionally, do you have access to your server error logs? Perhaps there is an error being logged there that would provide a clue as to the issue.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & shutdown the websiteHmmm… I’m not seeing the issue for some reason. Could you try temporarily turning of “enable ajax requests for progress integrations”? You can do this under Presto Player > Settings.

That is the only requests we are making to the server when the video plays. We send a request ever 10 percent of video watched, so perhaps your webserver cannot process the requests.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & shutdown the websiteYes, that looks to have solved the issue. Are you still seeing any issues on your end?

In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & shutdown the websiteThanks! I was able to find the issue. It looks like it’s the encoding of the mp4 file. For some reason it’s making a lot of small requests for parts of the file, very quickly. I made a short video:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zuj1985
You can see in this video, this is the mp4 file played directly from the browser (not with Presto Player). These requests are quickly exploding the memory of the browser tab.In order to fix this, you will want to web optimize the video and re-upload:
https://prestoplayer.com/docs/how-to-optimize-video-for-smooth-website-playback-using-handbrake/
Having a properly encoded mp4 file should solve this issue. You will want to do this no matter what as this issue will happen with our without Presto Player.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & shutdown the websiteThanks for the helpful link. I’m not able to see that issue – for some reason the video plays for me without any issues. Are you saying when you click play on the site, the site reloads with an error? Can you let me know what exact steps are needed to replicate this issue?

In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & shutdown the websiteHi Muh,
Thanks for reaching out. The only way to provide a link is to use this field in the support form:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/6qubBwE1This will let us see the issue and get this solved for you.
Hi Jackson!
Happy to help here! It sounds like you want to use our purchase hooks (surecart/purchase_created). This is triggered for each product in an order.
We abstract away many of the complexities that can come with integrating with an ecommerce platform. Instead of needing to keep track of subscription changes, order statuses, refunds and any other types of actions that can affect “access” to a purchase, we instead abstract them to a purchase model.
You can read more about these, here:
https://developer.surecart.com/docs/guide/purchase-integrations/overview
Can you give me a bit more info on what you want to accomplish? I’m happy to help get you in the right direction.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & kills the website! Resolved. So sorry to hear that! I’m very confident we can help should you want to reach out to our support forum.
We have tens of thousands of happy Presto Player users, and we don’t have any other customers experiencing this issue. I’m certain there’s something else going on. I’m sure we could get you unstuck fairly quickly.
Also, there is no need for site access – that’s not what I was asking for. If you open a support ticket you can submit a link to your video so we can see the issue. That’s the best way we can help – we’d have to see what is going on in order to diagnose it.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & kills the website! Resolved. Thanks for the additional info!
Could you open up a new ticket here?
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/presto-player/
wp.org does not like us to give support on review tickets directly. This would let you send a non-public link to your site so we can take a look at the issue. I’d very much appreciate it! Thank you!Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [Presto Player] Slow & kills the website! Resolved.Hi Muh,
First off, I’m very sorry to hear about your frustration. I would certainly feel frustrated! I am very confident we can help you here and would love the opportunity to do so. Many users are very happy with Presto Player so I think there is an issue going on that we can help you sort out.
Could you tell me more about the video you are using on your site? Is it a self-hosted mp4 video? It sounds like potentially the video is not optimized for web, which can cause a lot of your computers memory to stream. We suggest optimizing the video for website viewing: https://prestoplayer.com/docs/how-to-optimize-video-for-smooth-website-playback-using-handbrake/
Yup! We just released Mollie processor integration. We’ve also improved the Stripe payment element so that it uses any name/email etc. that you have already entered as a default value. This gives the customer an opportunity to make a change in case the billing name, address, or email is different than their account.
Thanks so much for reporting! We’ll get this fixed ASAP.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Problem with cookieyes pluginHmmmm… you may need to reach out to the developer of that plugin. I’m not sure why their placeholder is not appearing. We do wrap our youtube video inside our player, so it’s possible that’s causing the issue. I don’t have enough familiarity with how the cookieyes plugin is coded to offer an explanation. Have you reached out to them? Maybe there is a way to get them to work together.
One thing you could try – could you try adding a poster image to the player inside WordPress? This may appear in the absence of the video.

In reply to: [Presto Player] Problem with cookieyes pluginDid you try our youtube Privacy-Enhanced Mode? It uses the youtube nocookie domain which shouldn’t need cookies.
Hi There!
Thanks for reaching out about this! It looks like this is a warning because your site is in DEBUG mode. We’ll get this developer warning fixed – I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
And yes, an account is required to use SureCart (though it’s free!)
SureCart is different from most eCommerce plugins in that we offload almost all critical eCommerce functionality off your site to our platform. This means you can can provide a much faster, reliable and secure ecommerce experience than what is currently available on WordPress.
It’s definitely more for people who want something they don’t have to worry about, that’s inherently secure and just want something that works well, without any configuration.
Any questions, let me know.
