Hey guys – I spent time reviewing your plugin, not once, but twice. AND then sent a donation.
Would be great to get at least a “Thank you.”
You guys coded a plugin I use on a regular basis, and because you updated it to not show a Dashboard widget, I sent you a donation to help you keep coding!
Yup, display:none + disabling the screen options drop-down is more efficient for me – I don’t like delivering a site with a cluttered Dashboard page, and I don’t want clients ‘accidentally’ enabling anything from that drop-down.
Recognizing you guys offered this for free, I adjusted my rating. Thanks!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Serves no useful purpose…@caercam that’s great! Does nothing for me tho as I use a Website builder (not a page builder, like Elementor), which makes a clunky tool like Gutenberg wasted space I ultimately have to disable. If it was wiz-bang cool, I would be all for it, but it’s light years from that. And very telling that plugins developed to disable it have glowing 5-star reviews and millions of installs!
I really appreciate you linking to that page tho, where I see many comments are about fixing other stuff instead. @philclothier mentions,
As a theme developer, the number 1 thing we receive support requests for is creating menus (especially to post categories). Anything which can be done to simplify that process will be awesome.
Go figure!
They need to update core features as others in that thread mentioned. Instead they just want to prove how disconnected they are from they’re user base.

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Classic Editor Does Not Work For Me@estehelecho consider SEOpress or All in One. Yoast has become a bloated cash cow instead of something useful, causing more conflicts than makes it worthwhile in any of my development cycles.
Kinda sad that after two weeks you’re a paying customer still waiting for help.
I stumbled on this while deciding between SEOPress and RankMath. The biggest complaint in most of my search results was how SEOpress support is non-existent, even with the Pro version.
Hope you get help with your 404 issues, but as of right now this unresolved topic apparently only helped. Rankmath.

In reply to: [Cache Enabler] Not passing Google’s Mobile-friendly testNot sure what happened – I was logged out, even checked through different browsers and different speed analysis services. Just weird how it went from 5-6 seconds, now I’m at less than 1.
Thanks for checking, I’ll mark this as resolved.

In reply to: [Cache Enabler] Not passing Google’s Mobile-friendly testRan some test a few minutes ago and I don’t think this plugin is affecting my page load times anymore. I was comfortable at about 2 secs, now I’m between 5 and 6.
Would be grateful if you could look at https://5pointdigital.com and advise why it stopped working even though it is enabled.

In reply to: [Cache Enabler] Not passing Google’s Mobile-friendly testI apologize, looks like I simply forgot to clear cache before running that test. If anything goes awry I’ll update this thread.
Thanks.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] How does this compare to…Yani, thanks for the feedback. I’ll try it and leave a review based on my experience.
“…but you can customize the plugin.” Okay. Thanks?
Anyways, I moved on to another (paid) plugin that natively supports this feature.

In reply to: For Three Days > “There is a pending change of your email to”If @mrmikedavis solution doesn’t work for whatever reason, another option is to edit the “wp_options” table.
Use the database “Search” option to query the email address you need to change, in this case it should return the “wp_options” table unless you changed your table prefix (which you should do as good practice anyways). In that case simply look for “[your_prefix]_options.”
You are looking for the “admin_email” row – edit and click “GO.”
Just my opinion, but the addition of this new ‘security’ feature is kinda goofy – if your Website is hacked, which I’m assuming it was implemented to protect against, it’s very likely not by some low-level attempt – the person also has access to your server > Website database and can easily circumvent the WordPress Settings page in the manner I outlined above. So basically, this somewhat frustrating functionality becomes moot since there will be no email verification.
WordPress is in need of major overhauls (Media Library, Menus, etc.) in many areas, but the devs are building picket fences to keep dogs out, not burglars.
Itβs not slow and clunky like ALL of the other builders.
Ok, “slow and clunky” isn’t really useful to anyone. What specific shortcomings did the competitors have?
I’ve been in the Website development and graphic design industry for almost 20 years. In that time I’ve used almost every page and site builder (there are significant differences). So I’m really curious about the results you achieved with “ALL” builders – which ones did you use as comparisons, and what speed test data helped you come to the conclusion that Live Composer is the fastest?
Thanks for your time, and I can’t wait to read your response π

In reply to: [Nav Menu Roles] Is this plugin still supported? Thanks for the response.
Also, please check your email, or PayPal account – I sent donations on the same day, almost a week ago to several plugin authors. You were the only one I didn’t get a “thank you” from.
If nothing else, this lets me know I sent it to the correct account.

In reply to: [bbPress - Moderation Tools] What about the Moderator role?Disregard. Just tested with 2.6 RC3 and it appears to be working.
Thanks.
