I haven’t modified the templates VS version 1.9
So now I’m a bit confused on why I need to change anything 🙄.

The visitor has to give consent to being tracked (in the GDPR point of view DSGVO may be more strict) only when you’re tracking personal information (whereas facebook data is anonimized) it isn’t subject to GDPR (afaik). However, your privacy/cookie policy should inform your visitors that you’re tracking them, and, should you pass certain identifying variables (e.g. purchase information) you would need consent.
