Thank you for the response and your patience with this slow response.

I have little experience with WordPress and apologize if these questions are obvious.

When you say address, so you mean URL? If so, it did not change. I overwrote the parent domain with the sub-domain. I have no problems accessing anything in the new version of the site and the URL in the URL window in the browser is what I expect.

I looked at the permalinks using Settings => Permalinks and found no issues.

My problem appears to be limited to the old sub-domain being the target of Appearance => Customize.
