In reply to: content editor html trails not showingIt appears to be Woocommerce, Kev. The implementation on both the front & back end as it concerns dropdown lists is quite inaccessible. So those using the keyboard only will likely not be able to purchase goods because they can’t enter their state/province & country correctly. Likely not what you’re looking for if you’re catering to pwd’s.
Just out of curiosity, could you please do me a favor? Could you please switch to 1 of the default WordPress themes (they begin w/the word ‘twenty’) & see if your issue persists?

In reply to: content editor html trails not showingFirst, did she perhaps accidentally press the ‘distraction-free’ button? 2nd, are her Windows/browser display settings different from yours such that the formatting might be hidden?
Lastly, (& this has nothing to do w/your problem), but if you’re using Woocommerce, & you want to build a fully accessible site, then I’d discourage its use in its current implementation, as the dropdown lists for selecting countries, states, provinces, etc, are not accessible using the keyboard. Thus, any pwd who must use the keyboard exclusively will likely be excluded from buying anything from you until this gets fixed. They have several support tickets on their desk now regarding this issue. Normally I wouldn’t have said anything, but, given your username… Just FYI, you understand.

In reply to: Cannot Login to WP-AdminAre you perchance running any caching plugins, Gabe?
When I went to the login page, it appeared just fine. Are you saying you’re getting login errors, you’re logging into your main domain, or what precisely is occurring?

In reply to: content editor html trails not showingHey, Kev, do I have this right? Are you logging into the same site, at the same time, on 2 different machines? Is that what you’re saying?

In reply to: content editor html trails not showingHello, Kevin, & welcome. Just out of curiosity, what themes are you & your wife using? Sometimes themes have different functionality, & this may be the difficulty. Please try changing your wife’s theme to what you’re using, if applicable, & see if that helps. & then let us know, please, so we can suggest other things to try if that doesn’t work.

I’m sorry,osgaspolsot. It’s pt.ww.wp.xz.cn.
Just out of curiosity, have you paid your hosting bill, or has your hosting been suspended for other reasons? It seems your host is HostGator, so you may wish to contact them to see if that is the case.
Please let us know if that isn’t the problem.

In reply to: ERROR: La carpeta de temas “twentyfifteen” no existe.Hola, osgaspolsot, y bienvenido.
Hello, osgaspolsot, & welcome. Please consider going to es.ww.wp.xz.cn for support in Spanish or pt.ww.wp.xz.cn for support in Portuguese.
It is extremely dangerous to include any usernames/database names/passwords in a public forum. Please change these immediately now. I’ve asked the forum moderators to redact them.
(Mods, from what I know of Spanish, looks like the op has included credentials. Perhaps a truly Spanish-speaking mod could have a look & confirm?)

In reply to: Can Not Access This Site After a URL ChangeHello, wahidamj01 & welcome. Please make certain you’ve cleared your browser cache. I did get the expected login screen here, so that will most likely help. Let us know, however, if it does not. You might also wish to putting wp-login.php on the end of your url instead of wp-admin. That may make a difference, though it didn’t appear to when I did so.

In reply to: Upgrade to 4.8.2 – overall problemsHello, Depechie, & welcome. The first thing I note is that your theme has not been updated by the authors in over 2 years. That may have something to do w/your problem. Doing what I’m about to suggest will break the site, but it may allow you to log in. Using either your hosting provider’s file manager or FTP (preferably secure FTP), you can change your theme folder name by appending a 1 or a .old, ie, hiero1 or hiero.old & see if that allows you to log in. The plugins folder name can also be changed to plugins1, which will disable all plugins. This is, of course, a temporary measure. Once you’re able to log in, you can activate a default theme (they begin w/the word ‘twenty’) & then begin activating plugins 1 by 1 & logging in each time until the login fails, at which point you likely know which plugin is causing the problem. Be aware that caching plugins, while they can be very valuable, may also often cause problems like this, so that & your theme may be a good starting point.

In reply to: Strange glitch stemming from Establishing a Database ConnectionHi, thardus, & welcome. I guess 1 of the things I’m wondering at this point is whether your database may be exceeding the size that your hosting provider (in this case it appears to be Yahoo), allows. There may also be database corruption–or both problems may coexist simultaneously.
I’ve done some work w/clients who had Yahoo hosting in the past, but it’s been several years ago, so my memory’s pretty hazy on the subject. Some hosting providers have aplets in their control panels which permit repair of the database. I don’t recall if Yahoo does or not. This can also be done via command line, but, again, I’m not at all certain if Yahoo provides any sort of shell access.
Part of the problem w/using WordPress plugins to optimize/repair a database is that, w/large databases, the script can time out so the job doesn’t get done. This is why I’m suggesting methods external to WordPress, if at all possible.
This may require professional intervention, &, if that’s the case, you can post a job on http://jobs.wordpress.net, likely under ‘General’ or ‘Performance’.
BTW, I just left a comment on your blog regarding buying from smaller companies. That was a pretty interesting article & entirely all too common, unfortunately. A good reminder for consumers to be aware of, especially in light of the upcoming holidays.
Would you please be so kind as to mark the topic as ‘resolved’ so other volunteers will understand you’ve been helped & can go on to help others who require it?
Thank you. I enjoyed working w/you.
If you log into the site using wordpress.com, there should be an option that you can check/uncheck regarding the toolbar.
@thehipgurusguide, did you perchance enable the wordpress.com toolbar?
