I wonder why this (your) particular plugin would require this when that’s not something I normally need to do. Just wondering. Thank you for your time, we can count this as resolved from my end.

Still elongated but for some reason today they aren’t quite as tall. Only about 50% taller than width instead of 100% taller. I have made no changes since yesterday, except just now I checked the box “Use aspect ratios of original images”.
I did get the 75/75 when I moved the widget to another position in the sidebar.
So, because when I moved the widget down in the MAIN SIDEBAR page and it responded, I’ve been tinkering with moving it. It seems the widget only responds to my changes in thumbnail size AFTER moving it. So I make a change but get no change. Then I move it up or down in the list and it responds. Then I move it back to where I want it.
I have concerns the size isn’t stable though. What do you think could be causing this?

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails] thumbnails sizeHello, are you saying CSS should be modified to get a size other than 75/75 format? I can’t seem to get anything other than 75/75 (and that doesn’t always happen) or I get elongated thumbnails.
Are you saying to modify the CSS or are you saying there is no other option?

solved. I deleted Elementor and now everything works great. Turns out I really didn’t need that plug-in after all.
Although I did update everything that needed updating after the WP update. I had a white screen of death but got in through my host. Then after updating everything my dashboard appeared again instead of the white screen. Argh! Should have paid more attention to the things I was updating – it was an “update all” that I did.
Hi, my Metaslider disappeared after a WP update this evening. It’s no longer in my dashboard. The slider where I had my metaslide has now been replaced with my first blog post (that’s random but I guess something needed to somehow get in there). It seems like I should remove it using ftp and then reinstall. thanks, Joan

JoanThank you for your reply. I think the confusion comes in because the flywheel page you are looking at is my OLD website page. That’s what I want my NEW site to look like. A developer made the old site and unbeknownst to me, I now realize he used the pro version. When I made my new site http://www.joanbreckwoldt.com which is hosted by GoDaddy, I used the free version. (I had both these websites in my original post but I see here I have only referred to the OLD flywheel site, so I can see how that was confusing.)
My old flywheel site (with the pro version) will disappear in a couple of weeks, hosting runs out and I don’t need that site anymore. The only reason I even refer to it is because I like the way my two galleries look on that old site. I don’t need help with the old site, it looks great, it’s just that it’s done by a developer and it’s very static.
So, can I get help with my NEW website which has the free NextGEN gallery that I downloaded a couple of weeks ago? Though I suspect the free version just doesn’t have the feature to change the padding/spacing between thumbnails. I think at this point I have two choices: either see if anybody can help me with CSS or get the pro version. I don’t even know if CSS would be able to get me what I want, though code can do just about anything it seems!
What do you think the odds are of someone being able to help me with CSS? Or do you think I should just go ahead and get the pro version?

Hello, thank you for your reply. But . . . I just have the NextGen FREE gallery, not the pro gallery. It’s just a free download which I understand is the basic NextGen gallery. Does that change what I need to do to get help?
I bought the Imagely theme about two months ago, does that mean I can get support? I don’t remember seeing anything about a membership?
