  • Sounds good. Happy to help. I do appreciate that the plugin is designed as a tool for compliance officers, so perhaps an option to keep a more permanent log elsewhere (cloud?) that doesn’t overwhelm servers may be a useful option for others. Thanks for being so helpful, by the way.

    I too have the problem that the server can’t cope once I click ‘delete all’. It just crashes over and over.

    Are there alternative options, such as a cloud-based log or a downloadable file? If it deletes the log every hour, do you even need to keep a log? Is it a legal requirement, for example?

    My choice appears to be to upgrade my hosting package and pay extra on an ongoing basis – or wait until there’s a knock on the door and a potential fine from the GDPR authorities. That seems daft.

    I am also having problems with the telemetry function, which is adding 60Mb to the size of my database and thereby pushing over the 100Mb limit of my current hosting package.

    Manually deleting the data (38,400 items within days) is time consuming and would have to be done almost daily. Crazy.
